NotebookWith claims of the world’s first 16:9 17.3” notebook, Asus has just uncovered its F70. It can be world first 16:9 17.3” laptop for you if you don’t know about Compaq CQ71-100 and HP Pavilion dv7-2045ea laptops that already have 16:9 and 17.3” displays.

According to Asus claims, the F70 features a Full HD screen with an LED backlit and 1600×900 pix resolution that it Asus has admitted in its specs.

All seem to praise one thing that’s quite unique in its Infusion styling, but despite its all uniqueness it seems somewhat inspired with Aurora Borealis. Some other laptop makers have linked their products with an untrustworthy electromagnetic phenomenon that feels quite soothing and lovely to eyes, but fails to achieve something remarkable.

Chicklet keyboard with rebound elasticity, Altec Lansing speaking with SRS surround sound, HDMI output are some other worth-mentioning features.

If you have decided to play with the F70, Skype, email functionality, music and web in a flash can be booted up with Asus’s own build Express Gate technology. It doesn’t end here, as you will also find a 1.3MP camera there.

It weighs 3.9kg (with battery) as we can expect with such a large screen. When it comes to pricing, there are two options including a 2.16Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo, Vista Home Premium, 4GB of RAM and 320GB will be available with  £860 price tag while the other option is a 2.26GHz chip and one TB hard drive that rises to £960.
