Windows 7 Migration Becoming Difficult For Intel
Windows 7 Migration
Intel on Wednesday has reported that they are facing some challenges in migrating from Windows XP to Windows7 and the major concerns included application compatibility and system readiness. Though we have seen that Intel has worked with Microsoft for the development of Windows 7 into a stable operating system but there are many challenges left for the company before migrating PCs to new OS inside the conventional Intel’s environment. The main challenges reported by the company are application compatibility, web browser support, 64-bit computing and privacy controls and while discussing about these issues in a blog entry Intel staff engineer Roy Ubry said that “It means that a significant amount of work needs to be invested to prepare for Windows 7 application readiness”
This announcement has been made in the last year by the company that they will migrate their systems from the nine year old windows XP OS to Windows 7 OS by skipping Windows vista which was launched in 2007. While talking about the change Ubry said that “Initially, you would think this would not be a big concern; 32 bit computing has been around for many years, and most applications have been ported to 32 bit” and it has also being reported that the company is very smoothly migration towards new OS and hope fully they will achieve the final goal very soon.
