Microsoft is now getting very harsh on windows XP because 2 of its latest products, the Windows 7 and Vista are not getting the expected fame because of Windows XP. The Company is acting in quite a natural way, the old success of its products is not letting the innovations to come in that way and that is the reason, Microsoft isn’t happy at the success of Windows XP.

The company is nowadays doing its best to kill the Windows XP but users are not letting that happen, even the company refused to support the XP SPF2 still users are not ready to leave XP for other versions though their computer has now gone on risks.

Windows 7 Migration

Intel on Wednesday has reported that they are facing some challenges in migrating from Windows XP to Windows7 and the major concerns included application compatibility and system readiness. Though we have seen that Intel has worked with Microsoft for the development of Windows 7 into a stable operating system but there are many challenges left for the company before migrating PCs to new OS inside the conventional Intel’s environment. The main challenges reported by the company are application compatibility, web browser support, 64-bit computing and privacy controls and while discussing about these issues in a blog entry Intel staff engineer Roy Ubry said that “It means that a significant amount of work needs to be invested to prepare for Windows 7 application readiness”

MicrosoftMicrosoft has just announced that the company will provide a free anti-virus and security solution in the second half of the next year.

The software maker says that it will no more sell its all-in-one security and PC management service from the end of June 2009.

The new software has been code-named as Morro and this no-frills program is being considered quite suitable for smaller and less powerful computers.

The new software will support Windows 7, Vista and Windows XP and it will be free to download.
