Joint Venture of Nokia and Microsoft

Nokia has shocked everyone with the news of tying up with Microsoft regarding the mobile phone software. In other words, the mobile phone King has accepted its defeat as well as failure of the Symbian operating system. Form now onwards, Nokia is all set to adopt the Microsoft Windows Phone 7 operating system in its smartphones instead of the good old Symbian!!

It implies the integration of Bing Search as well as Xbox Live into Nokia phones, and Ovi Maps incorporation into Bing Search.

Now, Nokia has also announced that it has plans to step into the Tablet arena! We will have to wait for its next announcement to know whether Nokia will stay with Microsoft while producing tablets, or will choose some other platform!!

Symbian OS is one of the most powerful and famous operating system for mobiles which has hit the mobile phone industry before the Maemo and Android.

The good thing about the new operating systems is that they both are open source and gives more opportunities to the software developers to develop applications for them; this is also the main factor because of which these two are famous among the mobile phone developers as well.

But a good news is that Symbian has also joined the Android by now getting open sourced and the process of becoming open source had started some long time ago but now that process has got the end.
