With the launch of its first mass-produced 256GB SSD, Samsung has again upped the game in solid state hard drives.

This new 256GB SSD is the best performing SSD for personal computers according to Samsung’s claims and so far performance is concerned, it’s twice more capable than Samsung’s 64GB and 128GB SSDs.

With sequential write rates of 200MB/s, it combines sequential read rates of 220/MB that is a difference of just 10% if compared to rival drives.

The new SSD is almost three times as fast at storing data if compared to a typical 7200rpm notebook drive. Read the rest of this entry
