Google the greatest internet joint had jumped into the hardware industry with its new Nexus one phone that it released some months ago and now the largest software’s master Microsoft is also reported to be coming to the hardware competition with its own new Smartphone.

It is expected by some experts that Microsoft is going to being an Asus build official Windows 7 series device to bring a tough competition for the Google Nexus one phone.  We can expect Asus Corporation in this regard because at the Mobile World Congress held on Feb. 15, the new mobile OS was revealed on the Asus handsets.

Search Engine Wars

Yahoo and Microsoft have being the rivals of each other for the couple of years and there were no signs on the international levels which can give this signal of both the company’s collaboration but some behind the scene mishaps have lead the old rivals to get together with each other and compete against the internet giant Google which has a very strong reputation of blowing away its competitors in the search engine’s war.

Microsoft is bringing some new strategies to track out the hackers who are using cheat activation codes for using Microsoft Windows 7. It has been notified that Microsoft will soon give a new update to the Windows 7 users that will detect the illegal copies installed on the system and over 70 different activation cracks will be used for this purpose.

The update of Windows Activation Technologies (WAT) is named as Windows Genuine Advantage (WGA) and this will be provided on the official website of the company on Feb 17 and the status of this one will be an optional upgrade which will come via Windows update later this month.

Windows 7

Windows 7 one of the latest products by Microsoft has not only taken the technological bounds of the company to new heights but it has also increased the net profit to almost double. Yesterday the company announced that a very strong increase in the net income and revenue for the second quarter for 2010 has been seen.

The profit in the net income is $6.66 billion which is about 60 % from the same period a year after. The results which have been revealed are even far above the expert’s expectations and it is really the best ever success earned by any product of Microsoft.

Along with Windows 7 the company also released Windows server 2008 R2 which also enjoyed a very modest increase with $3.8 billion in revenue, up from $3.75 in the previous year. According to the official reports almost 60 million licenses were sold in this quarter which is just more than extra ordinary.

Windows 7

Windows 7 is one of the most recently issued versions of Microsoft windows for the desktops, laptops, Netbooks, tablet PCs etc. It was released on July 22, 2009. The outlook of this window seems almost similar to that of Mac OS X. One of the partner group managers of Microsoft Simon Aldous said in an online interview that they were very much interested in the Apple OS X operating system while designing windows 7.

Microsoft has strongly opposed this quote in their recent blog and claims that the “inaccurate quote” came from the Microsoft employee who was not even involved in the designing of windows 7. And they were really feeling bad that their own member had given such a lame quote.
