Freeview has recently announced that they will meet their target of 50% UK coverage for its high definition service by the world cup in June. It has been seen that Freeview had started its service at the winter Hill and Crystal Palace transmitter groups covering England’s North West and London respectively. Thus we can see that this service is spreading at a very nice rate and because of the quality of service the company provides, it is getting more and more popular throughout Britain.
BT Vision
BT vision is a superb service provided in United Kingdom supplied by the BT retail. It aims to provide the viewer best quality digital television channels using a freeware decoder and it gives TV sports and multiple programs on demand to the Broadband viewers.
Now BT vision has announced that its next generation set-top boxes will be able to receive free view HD channels. This is going to be fantastic news because by bringing on the HD channels the user demands for channels will be best fulfilled by BT vision.
Michael Barry, BT’s Head of Programming said that “the project is a work in progress and that there is no firm date for its launch yet”. It has been noted that people are taking great interest in this news and the date of the announcement will get a big customer’s response.
