Symbian OS Got Open Source before Deadline

Symbian OS is one of the most powerful and famous operating system for mobiles which has hit the mobile phone industry before the Maemo and Android.
The good thing about the new operating systems is that they both are open source and gives more opportunities to the software developers to develop applications for them; this is also the main factor because of which these two are famous among the mobile phone developers as well.
But a good news is that Symbian has also joined the Android by now getting open sourced and the process of becoming open source had started some long time ago but now that process has got the end.
The open sourcing of Symbian will now let the application developers to work on it as well like they work for the Android and Maemo applications, the new code by Symbian will be accessible to the developers for free and this things gives us the possibility that some new Symbian powered gadgets will be seen in future. This new strategy from the developers of Symbian will give really exciting fame to the Symbian as the OS has suffered a lot due to unavailability of the code.
