Innocuous GadgetsAccording to a report by Ofcom baby monitors and other innocuous gadgets like security cameras can kill Wi-Fi signals at home and other such places where they are used.

The report seems to reject all those claims which indicate that a large number of Wi-Fi networks in some urban areas can sap Wi-Fi signals.

Mass Consulting, who generated this report, says in this connection: “It’s in rife that a large number of domestic users produce a considerable amount of traffic on Wi-Fi and it serves as a hurdle for other users to get access of it.”

“Results of our study indicate that it’s not true, as most of the affected parties have to bear the interference from innocuous devices like baby monitors, cameras, Audio Video senders, ovens and other such devices.”

To avoid this problem, Mass Consulting is looking for a lot more comprehensive regulation of the 2.4GHz band for using Wi-Fi signals.

Even a logo has also been developed to allow Wi-Fi gadgets to get adherence for some kind of standardization for making wireless signals quite friendly.

The report says that a logo of 2.4GHz will soon be tapped into such a market pressure and it will help to improve the co-existence of any type of radio in this band.

“One of the markets where this trend has emerged already is the market of baby monitors that appearing on the new generation of video monitors.”
