Google Supporting HTC against Apple’s Lawsuits

As we all know that Apple has filed a lawsuit against HTC for the infringement of 20 patents which the device maker is using in its latest devices including Nexus one. Google is not directly involved this case but they are getting involved in it because they know that the lawsuit has been filled against all the android devices and with the devices like Nexus one Google has worked closely with the HTC.

While talking to the TechCrunch via email a Google’s spokesman said “We are not a party to this lawsuit. However, we stand behind our Android operating system and the partners who have helped us to develop it”.

Whatever the reason will be, this thing is clear that Google is not included in the lawsuit till now and they can be expected to be included because they were the closed partners of HTC while developing Nexus one which has been included in the lawsuit and Google is still in completely control of selling it.

The atmosphere between Google and Apple is also not very good and it was more increases when Apple showed not to be happy on Google’s announcement of multi-touch support for the android users. Thus we can say that apparently it looks like a war between Apple and HTC but Google is also an active member of it and it can be expected that we will see Google’s name in the lawsuit in future.
