You might have seen that Google faced some issues regarding the privacy on some its major platforms and then after that the chief concern of company become security and privacy related work. Previously a group of critiques tend to criticize the privacy policies of the company and now that group is alive again.

Actually the Santa Monica, California consumer advocacy group has taken out an Ad on 540-square-foot Jumbotron digital display in New York’s Time Square; it is actually the promotion of an animated video on YouTube in which Google CEO is driving an ice-cream truck that is secretly spying on children.

The title of video was “Don’t be Evil?” so what does that means? And according to sources it is basically a description of how Google disregards the privacy issues of people by colleting the data from the street view cars and taking its own decision to make them private Gmail contacts that are publically available on its social networking platform.

According to John Simpson, director of Consumer Watchdog “The 15-second plug is scheduled to air 36 times a day through Oct. 15 and is designed to highlight Google’s “tone-deafness to privacy“. Basically the aim of this group was to create awareness among the pubic for ‘Do Not Track Me‘ list that would work in a manner similar to the Federal Trade Commission’s Do Not Call list.

Google privacy concerns were issued because of the street view cases and the company has to think over such actions as it’s the matter of trust of public.
