The reason behind this decision could be seen as a reaction to the anger of other news media about Google’s fame in online news but as an implementation of this decision Google has told the newspaper publishers to set limits on the news which user can view before proper subscription where there will be a payment system for them. And might be as a result of this the regional newspaper groups of UK, Johnston Press has taken a decision to charge user £5 for three months access to online news.

Google has named this plan as “First click free” and the main reason for this decision is to calm down the other newspaper publishers who are very annoyed at the dominance of Google in the news media but this program is beneficial as well. By this plan publisher can now prevent unrestricted access to subscription web sites.

According to Broadcasting and media consultant Steve Hewlett, Google’s response was “a pretty significant move“. So this will raise Google’s position in field of journalism and the trust will be build more firmly between news media and Google.
