People who are using Canon’s iMage Gateway service will also enjoy video podcasting from December this year.

Canon is going to announce that in Photokina exhibition that will be held this in Cologne, Germany. The said service was set up to share the still pictures and this video podcasting is an extension of this service.

With the help this service, the Canon product owners will be able to nominate friends and family to see the videos or stills posted on the site. These nominated friends and family are informed when new material is available to watch.

The service is Apple-friendly as well as its using iTunes service of the company to distribute the material to iPhones and iPods easily.

Christiaan Holman from New Media Manager, Canon Europe, “After its re-launch in 2007, Canon iMage Gateway has provided a nice digital photo experience and they can make the most of their Canon products by using this service.”

It is worth mentioning that the service is limited to movies that are not larger than 100MB capacity, so don’t expect to watch a full length movie.

Now the friends and family of canon product owners will see what their friends and family want them to see and share.
