On 28th of June Nokia publicized a worldwide competition “Create for Millions” with the aim to unite consumers and developers in order to make applications for Nokia’s 40 cell phones. “Create for millions” also offers a chance to developers to provide web as well as Java apps to consumers across the world.

Nokia Employees and Microsoft Deal

I have already told you about Nokia’s decision to leave Symbian in favour of Microsoft Windows 7 Mobile, as its main smartphone operating system. Now, this isn’t going as plain as Nokia thought it would do; 1000 of the company employees have decided to stand against the decision. This is certainly a critical situation, which has to be tackled very carefully and cautiously.
Joint Venture of Nokia and Microsoft
Nokia has shocked everyone with the news of tying up with Microsoft regarding the mobile phone software. In other words, the mobile phone King has accepted its defeat as well as failure of the Symbian operating system. Form now onwards, Nokia is all set to adopt the Microsoft Windows Phone 7 operating system in its smartphones instead of the good old Symbian!!
It implies the integration of Bing Search as well as Xbox Live into Nokia phones, and Ovi Maps incorporation into Bing Search.
Now, Nokia has also announced that it has plans to step into the Tablet arena! We will have to wait for its next announcement to know whether Nokia will stay with Microsoft while producing tablets, or will choose some other platform!!
