A New safety device, which prevents drivers using mobile phones and and calls, has just been launched by a Canadian company Aegis Mobility.
This new device informs the callers that the receiver is driving and requests to leave a message.
The company hopes that the software becomes available through a monthly subscription fee.
This new system will also inform callers where the person is located whom they are trying to reach.
Use of mobile phone while driving caused 25 fatal, 259 slight and 64 serious accidents during 2007, the Department for Transport says.
Use of mobile phone while driving has been declared illegal since December 2003 and a fine of £60 are charged to the offenders at the spot.
A survey conducted by motoring group RAC reveals that more than half of drivers are completely distracted by in-car technology.
Radios and CDs are among the most distracting gadgets following cell phones and other systems that defer almost one third of drivers.
Similarly, in this survey of 1,034 motorists almost 35% are distracted heating and air conditioning controls.
In most of new cars, immobilizers and anti-locking brake systems (ABS) are fitted in the cars and only 70% of drivers are aware of fact that they had ABS and 68% know that they had immobilizers.
