Asus VG236H: A Review
Asus VG236H
Dear old fat belly TVs will soon be found only in the museums, as the fast moving technological development has no place for these oldies. Today is the era of flat screen slim shaped, stylish looking big LCD, LED and Plasma display. These days, even the HD LCDs or Plasmas are becoming old news; now it is all about 3 dimensional display. Manufacturers are striving hard to create better TVs and monitors, which are 3D ready, than their competitors. Asus has come up with its latest 3D LCD monitor VG236H which was previously announced at the CeBIT. Now, it is in the market available to be purchased and used.

Features:
Though many will scream about the high price tag ($340 without 3D vision kit and $500 with it); this 23 inches HD widescreen monitor is full of high end features. The additional $160 will annoy many people, but believe me this will be worth it. With this kit, you will enter a whole new world of 3 dimensional high definition games and movies. The front chassis is highly glossy piano black whereas the rear side is plain matte. The screen is also reflective like a mirror.
For optimum adjustability and ease of the viewer, this monitor comes with swivel, tilt angle and height adjustments. High multimedia capability makes it provide a number of multimedia entertainment options for example gaming consoles and BD players. So, the users are offered a great range of high def videos (movies, shows, series etc.) and games.
Generic LCD monitors have a refresh rate of 60 Hz frames per second, whereas this top notch monitor has 120 HZ frames per second refresh rate that is double the usual speed. This fast speed enables this monitor to deliver sleeker and smoother performance.
Color Shine Technology offers enhanced saturation and color density, and improved image precision. Splendid Video Intelligence Technology enhances video performance of the monitor by offering a host of options for color, contrast, brightness, sharpness and preset video modes.
Pros:
- Ergonomic design
- Nice looking
- Good number of connection options
- 120Hz refresh rate
- Color Shine Technology
- Splendid Video Intelligence Technology
Cons:
- Lost dark details in movies
