Apple has recently released some really exciting upgrade for its most famous Mac OS X Snow Leopard Server/operating system. Previously the issues which were pointed out regarding that server were of security and reliability and now the company has not only fixed those issues but also brought some new features as well.

According to the company’s claims, the updates adds safari 5.0 that carries improved reliability of directory services especially when the spotlight is enabled on the server.

According to the official announcement the updates includes “Allows authentication by users who have high-bit characters in their full name. High-bit characters are “extended ASCII” characters such as ü or é.” And further “Allows access to wiki group calendars from the iCal application. Prevents wikis and blogs from becoming inaccessible after migrating from Leopard Server to Snow Leopard Server.”

The Mac OS X Snow Leopard is actually the seventh release of its UNIX based desktop operating system and it has now got more improved with the release of the new updates.  Apple though has got great response for this new OS but some bugs were affecting the reputation which are also fixed now to make it the top of the list of UNIX based operating systems.
