3$ app to control Linux server from iPhone
If you want securely control your Linux server from the Apple iPhone, there is a piece of software called TouchTerm that is an SSH client basically and terminal emulator for the Apple iPhone.
There is a direct port of the OpenSSL and OpenSSH software to the iPhone and it provides RSA/DSA key-based authentication and public key distribution through email.
There is also an emulator for a VT100 terminal that provides you a standard command line interface and enables curses-based programs like Vi and Top to be used.
The VT100 ( if you can remember) was a character-based terminal that was developed by Digital Equipment Corporation. It was quite popular around 1980.
Some additional screens are also there that are used for SSH key management and to edit server connections. After defining a connection you can connect with a single tap.
