Though Cisco has widely been known as electronic goods producer for larger markets like providing switches and routers to big companies and ISPs; it has also stepped into the consumer market. This isn’t a recent incidence; rather Cisco has been into consumer market since long without being noticed much.
Basically, Cisco has spread its hold in consumer market by continual acquisitions of such companies which were into production of consumer goods e.g. recent $590 million acquisition of Pure Digital Technologies, $61 million acquisition of Kiss Technologies in 2005, $7 billion purchase of Scientific Atlanta in 2005 and $500 million acquisition of Linksys. Thus, Cisco has built a huge place in consumer market.
Most of the Chrome users are already pretty happy with its speed. Now, it is time to get even happier. Google has released a spanking new Beta for its web browser, which is reportedly a lot speedier than its predecessor.
Google has been updating two release channels since December 2008; Stable and Developer. This beta has been checked for its speed on Google’s V8 Benchmark Suite and SunSpider Benchmark. V8 showed that the new Beta was 25% faster than the current Stable version, and SunSpider showed that it was 35% speedier than the current Stable channel version. Also, the new Beta was more or less twice as faster as the original beta version on both the Benchmarks.
Gaming is no more a mere hobby these days; it has become a passion and an obsession with somber players. A long listed series of gaming systems and consoles has filled in the stores all over the world, but gamers are never contented; they want more and more. For this reason, Nintendo has announced its fresh gaming system DSi, which is expected in April 2009.
It is not only a mere gaming tablet, but there is more to it. Nintendo DSi is packed with a large display screen, 3 mega pixel integrated camera, an additional camera, multimedia player, photo viewer, internet browser, SD card slot for additional memory storage and internet connectivity for direct downloads. Seems a lot more features than a simple gaming console can possess.
Recently Rock Band has taken on the rights to use The Beatles songs in a forth coming musical game version. This has been done as all three MTV Games, Harmonix, and Apple Corps are working in a collaboration to bring innovative and new fun based products.
It is planned to be released on the 9th of September. All those who use PS3, Xbox 360, Wii and Nintendo will have the opportunity to drive fun out of this game, as it will be available only on these game stations. Generally practiced instruments like guitar, bass, drums and mikes will be there to enhance the fun.
