In the upcoming Mobile World Community next month, Huawei is all set to bring Android’s smartphone. Huawei has announced that they will be focusing mobiles specially, with many more new products and services accompanying.

Huawei says,” We remain dedicated to working closely with you; building mobile broadband networks to lower TCO expense; protecting your return on investments throughout the entire network life cycle; minimizing the costs of migrating and upgrading networks. Concurrently, we aim to help enhance your network operations; leverage the full value of mobile broadband networks and improve your viability and overall profitability”.

It is also expressed that they have been working throughout 2009 with complete commitment to make networks more beneficial by converting them from “data pipes” to “profit streams”. Huawei plans to offer a lot next month; providing engineering services, top quality service operations, building up of mobile broad-band network, the delivery of customized mobile terminals, helping and assisting in new business models development.

On Tuesday, IBM posted its 4Q financial results that showed an impressive increase of 12% in earnings despite worldwide economic slowdown. The results beat the expectations of different analysts.

IBM generated $4.4b net income, which comes to $3.28 per share for the 4Q, nearly 12% rise compared to the same period last year.

It was expected that IBM would post $3.30 per share earnings for the recent quarter.

The tech leader reported that the company is on right tract to achieve its target of generating $10 to 11$ per share profit for 2010.

Hyundai is quite near to finalize a deal with Advantage Cellular (a UK mobile telecom company) to start its cell phone business in the UK.

Hyundai says that they can develop such devices as can make people salivate in UK. “We will soon be able to capture five to six % of mobile market in UK,” they added. Aren’t these guys somewhat over-ambitious?

Mobile Today reports that Hyundai is planning to reveal ten to fifteen handsets at Mobile World Congress that is going to be a real big event for Hyundai.

Among these handsets, a Windows Mobile phone has also been included that is expected to debut in July this year.

Intel reports that its profits dropped by 90 percent during the last three months of 08. Previously Intel reported its quarterly profit as $2.3 billion that dropped to $234 million during in the last three months of 08. According to the chip maker, low consumer spending for PCs is the biggest factor in this connection.

Intel is known as the world’s fourth biggest chip maker and the firm has given warning earlier this month about the 23% ($8.2bn) slump in the sales.

Intel has forecast meager $7bn sales for the 1Q of 09. According to some market analysts, because of economic gloom, domestic users have developed a habit of thinking twice before making a purchase of new PC.
