Sometimes even avid runners have to hang up their sneakers because of chilling winter, but the following tips can help you a lot to continue your healthy activity even in the winter stunted days.
- In winter, the body takes some time for warming up and you and need to give some more time for warm up. A brisk walk before start can help you to be warmed up before starting running.
- Similarly you can put your cloth into dryer for sometime to keep yourself warm.
- There are higher risks of falling and slipping particularly on the icy ways. Take shorter strides and avoid walking on snowy or icy paths as much as you can.
- If you can’t go outside because of excessive cold, it is better running on your treadmill.
- Try to consume as much fluids as possible, after, during and before running.
