sports that he uses to play when he was a child, the childhood games should also be associated with the small injuries because they are the important part of games.

Do you think that time has an impact on the games and injuries? The answer to this is yes as reported by article published in the medical journal Pediatrics. In this article it has been showed that number of child-athletes taken to emergency rooms (emergency departments) with concussion in the USA more than tripled, from 7,000 cases in 1997 to nearly 22,000 in 2007.

From the above stated data, the author believes that the increase in visits to emergency room may be because of reason that people have become more aware of the drawbacks of head injuries or may be because the intensity in sports has been increased.

The main aim of the study was to characterize ED (emergency department), also known as ER (emergency room) visits for childhood SRC (sport-related concussion) in pre-high school vs. high school athletes.

The study checks the emergency visits for concussions and basically concussion is known as a mild brain injury, mild traumatic brain injury (MTBI), mild head injury and minor head trauma. The short conclusion that was obtained from the author at the end of study stated that “The number of SRCs in young athletes is noteworthy. Additional research is required.”
