bowel-cancer.gifThe results of a new survey suggest that people are cutting down processed meat intake after reports that link it to cancer. This survey suggests that one out of every ten people is trying to consume less meat.

There was a report from World Cancer Research Fund last year that revealed people, who took two sausages and two slices of bacon everyday, had a 63 percent higher risk of developing bowel cancer.

Aside from meat, alcohol and smoking are two other key factors, as a bowel cancer charity says.

In that report, the evidence for the possible dangers from consuming processed meat were highlighted, but it also gave consideration to some other factors like lifestyle and other components of  diet that could increase or decrease the risk for cancer.
