According to the researchers of the U.S. and U.K., the reward centers in the mother’s brain get light up while seeing her baby smile; similarly, as it has been observed in experiments on drug addicts. The researchers are expectant that the findings will give more insight to understand the mom-baby bond.
The study has been published online in the journal Pediatrics‘s Ist July issue and it is the work of the researchers at University college London and Baylor College of Medicine (BCM), Houston.
Dr Lane Starthearn who is a research associate at BCM College’s Human Neuroimaging laboratory stated:

Obesity is increasing day by day in Germany and it is creating a lot of problems especially for the teenagers. Meanwhile, the medical doctors have said that almost 30 million Euro (47-million-dollar) plan is going to be launched pretty soon and this is the project designed for the next two years to improving the health and fitness conditions of the Germans’ adolescents so that they can pass a happy life. It has been found by the researchers of The Netherlands that the odds of regular ear infection are double in babies and children who use pacifiers or dummies if compare to those who don’t use.
The study can be found in the advanced online issue of the Family Practice journal and it’s a work of Dr Maroeska Rovers and colleagues from the Julius Center for Health Science and Primary Care, University Medical Center Utrecht.
