The leading author of this research discussed this research with media and said that “Taking away time spent in front of the television has the potential to improve a person’s activity levels”. It has been seen that the average Americans spend 5 hours a day on watching TV which is the third most consuming activity after sleep and work and if you decrease this time you can observe more freshness in you and performing other activities like desk work, Reading and writing will burn more of your calories as compared to watching TV.
