Monkeys Helped the Scientists to Root out Child Anxiety
The monkeys have always being a good source of studying the human disorders, scientists have been using this animal from the past many years in order to research the human disorders and recently the monkeys have helped out the scientists on the issue of child’s anxiety.
In the recent study scientists have identified two parts of a monkey’s brain that are linked to the severe anxiety problems in the monkeys and the scientists are suspecting that these could also be a cause of anxiety in the young children.
According to Ned Kalin, who has led this recent “We’re really excited about the findings because we think that they have the potential to have a direct impact on how we understand these illnesses in children and hopefully we can come up with better ways to treat kids based on this information”.
The anxiety disorders are the most common of the mental illnesses that is seen in the young children and this research could prove to be an affective one for solving this problem in those children.
Kalin further said that “Basically the idea and the hope would be we could intervene in a way that we could, more or less permanently, change a young child’s brain such that they would not have to struggle with these problems”.
Almost 248 Rhesus monkeys were tested in this research and after that the findings have been made and scientists are quite sure that it could be helpful for treating anxiety in children.
