Marc Mulac a 48 years old person was a great fan of ice tea and he takes at least six glasses of it in a day, according to him “Iced tea was very refreshing, cheap to buy and easy to make.” Unfortunately this habit of Ice tea consumption leads him to the concentration of painful kidney stones that finally lead him to the surgery in Loyola University Hospital in Maywood, Ill.

Dr. John Milner, assistant professor, Department of Urology, Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine, Maywood, Ill while talking about the Ice tea and its affects said that “For people who have a tendency to form kidney stones, it’s definitely one of the worst things you can drink.”

Basically what Milner and other urologists want to say that people should cut short the usage of those food items that carries high concentration of Oxalates and these foods includes spinach, chocolate, rhubarb, nuts and especially ice tea.
