Swine flu which is the recent outbreak has started spreading all throughHealth Workers the globe and it requires that each and everyone take the necessary precautions to avoid it spreading. But what if even the health workers are not taking the precautions correctly? The study of the health workers of the U.S. who are affected by swine flu indicates that most of them didn’t take enough measures to protect themselves while at work. It seems like most them dint even mind to wear gloves.

Just when the U.S. swine flu cases were increasing, the U.S. Centers for Disease control and Prevention laid the precautions to be taken by the health workers while at work. This includes wearing gloves, gowns, respiratory masks and eye protection while dealing with the patients who have been affected by the virus or suspected to have the flu. Until date around 80 health workers are infected by the virus. And this comprises the 80 out of the total 18000 confirmed and probable cases in the United States which indicates that the health care wor
kers are not represented completely. As it is expected to spread in July and August and continue till winter, all the health workers are asked to take severe precautions while handling those patients.
