Recent study has shown some really amazing result regarding this issue, according to that intense exercise can provoke the onset of temporary lung problem and other symptoms of asthma even in those kids who don’t have the asthmatic problems.

Dr. Alladin Abosaida, study lead author and hospital clinician at the University of California’s Irvine and Miller Children’s Hospital while discussing about this study said that “The results of this study indicate that short bouts of heavy exercise do cause a decrease in lung function testing in healthy children without a history of asthma or allergies”.

The study was actually carried on a group of 56 healthy children with no prior history of asthma, the children were engaged in different exercises that can induce asthma and it was found that after intensely carrying those exercises almost half of the children showed at least one abnormality.

The research team noted that the abnormalities seen in those children are actually because of bronchoconstriction that is the tightening of primary airway through which the air passes in and goes out of the lungs. The team also said that more work is required in this field to know what exact mechanism leads to the following results but until now we can only say that intensity of doing exercise and playing games should be reduced in children.
