The survey was conducted among 11,000 Canadian adults and the results showed that overweight people lived for longer time than people who were extremely obese or those who are underweight. The researchers also added that these results never compels normal weight people to gain some more.

SmokersThe results of a new study show that changes in the design of cigarette with the passage of time can raise the risk for certain types of lung cancer particularly in the US smokers.

Dr. David Burns, the lead author of the study, says in a tobacco research meeting that nearly 51% cases of lung cancer are because of these changes.

It’s not happening for the first time that researchers have presented such results as many other previous studies have shown similar sort of results regarding different types of cigarettes that also include low-tar cigarettes. The interesting finding was that US as well as Australia both have switched to well-known milder cigarettes, but the risk of adenocarcinoma, a lung tumor was found higher in the US smokers than the Australian.
