Cancer Deaths and Incidence Rates Falling in United States

In the United States deaths due to cancer are falling vigorously, this is because of better prevention methods they are using. This is a statement as per the cancer society annual statistics in the United States and the incidence rates are also going down. This report is well published in the society’s cancer journal for clinician: that was available earlier online on the 27th of May. In this report it indicates that the number of men with cancer has dropped by around 19 percent from the year 1990 to the year 2005, it also shows that the number of women with cancer decreased with by almost 11 percent from 1990 to around 2005.

The incidence rates have also been observed to go down by around two percent a single year in men for a period of around four years from 2001, and around one percent a year in women for a period of seven years from around 1998. The press received information from Dr John R Seffrin saying that a drop of one and two percentage points a year may not be much, but over a wide period of time and years it reduces a lot of deaths in the country. As the rate goes on falling, it shows that in the recent years, around hundred thousand people every year that would have died due cancer are now living happily. This data is obtained from the various researcher’s institutes and associations in the United States.
