nicotine and according to that Nicotine may directly promote the development of breast cancer by binding to certain cell receptors.

This study was actually carried by Taiwanese researchers and during the study the researchers analyzed 276 breast tumor samples for the sake of determining whether the subunits of nicotinic acetylcholine receptor (nAChR) were over produced in the breast cancer as compared to other cells.

The researchers also conducted some laboratory tests that showed that the reducing level of a9-nAChR inhibits the tumor growth and thus the diversities of Nicotine have been proved for the breast cancer.

The whole research was carried by Yuan-Soon Ho, of the Taipei Medical University, and colleagues, the conclusion provided after the research states that “These results imply that receptor-mediated carcinogenic signals play a decisive role in biological functions related to human breast cancer development”.
