The ovarian cancer is a very increasing problem nowadays that is getting lots of patients worldwide, a study has been taken in the Queensland Institute of Medical Research (QIMR) and researchers have found out that the habit of drinking tea may decrease your risks of getting ovarian cancer.
Such kind of a study was earlier taken on animals and it showed quite good results that were revealing that tea may decrease the growth of ovarian cancer cells and now the similar results have been obtained when this study has been carried out on humans.
According to a Lead researcher of this study Dr Christina Nagle from QIMR’s Gynaecological Cancer Group “Our results indicate that drinking more than four cups a day of black, green or herbal tea may reduce ovarian cancer risk by almost 30%” the results are pretty nice and satisfying too because drinking tea is a habit of a big majority of people and now their habit has got the medical assistance.
The cellular aging is a very wide spread problem that is caused by stress and anxiety but now the US researchers have found vigorous exercises that can reduce cellular aging with the prevention of shortening of telomeres due to stress.
This study was taken in University of California San Francisco (UCSF) and the publication has been made in open access journal PLoS ONE on 26 May.
The exercise has always being a very affective thing for the health but now this new goodness of it seems really exciting.
Co-lead investigator, Dr Elissa Epel, an associate professor in the UCSF Department of Psychiatry while discussing about this study said that “Telomere length is increasingly considered a biological marker of the accumulated wear and tear of living, integrating genetic influences, lifestyle behaviors, and stress.”
The bacteria was earlier thought to be only a creature that can have the drastic affects on the health of human but with the advancement of technology this thing came out that bacteria can be used for bringing the positive effects on human being.
It has been found previously that exposure to certain bacteria in the environment gives us the antidepressant qualities that could increase the learning behavior of in humans.
Dorothy Matthews of The Sage Colleges in Troy, New York, who conducted the research with her colleague Susan Jenks stated that “Mycobacterium vaccae is a natural soil bacterium which people likely ingest or breath in when they spend time in nature”. Recently a month long program was held in ancient art of Yoga and a lot of cancer survivors participated in that program, after the program some really affective results reported from the cancer patients.
Those who were having cancer and they participated in this program reported better sleep, less fatigue and a very less need of sleep medicine.
Dr. Douglas W. Blayney, president of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) while discussing about this issue said that “This is a readily applicable approach that improves quality of life and reduces medicine intake in cancer survivors. This is a real positive”.
Blayney, who is medical director of the Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Michigan also stated about this issue by saying that “There is an increased importance of amelioration of the complicationsof therapy in long-term cancer survivors”.
