Constipation Symptoms

Constipation is having more than one explanation. It is a condition where the colon is filled with hard stool and mostly very dry in nature which causes passing of the stool becomes very difficult and unnatural.

It causes infrequent evacuation, a dull feeling to pass the stool, irregular habit forming in defecation and unsatisfied, incomplete bowel emptying.

It is very serious that constipation causes straining in some persons and eventually resulting in the bleeding of the rectum. Rectal defects appear in severe cases. In a medical condition called irritable bowel syndrome, constipation alternates with diarrhea. Age is normally connected with this habit of constipation and as the age grows bowel movements is slowing down and constipation begins to appear.

Infant Constipation

Constipation is a condition of the digestive tract or system in which the feces are formed hard and the person experiences difficulty in passing or expelling it from the rectum.

This condition can also be called as irregularity of the digestive system. When there is lack of ability in colon to hold the water from the available content of the colon, the feces forms in to hard one and naturally the colon absorbs the maximum water from the colon content and the stool becomes harder. Too slow movement of the food content through intestines makes the colon to absorb too much water from the feces and they become hard again and become dry resulting in constipation. Painful defecation occurs in severe cases of constipation.

Sleep Apnea

Sleep apnea is a disorder of sleep and in which breathe is regular but with some pauses. Apnea is the term used for every pause of breathes.

Normally these episodes of apnea happen throughout the sleep and it is diagnosed with EEG or by a sleep study called polysomnogram.

This pause of breathe is considered as a disorder and called sleep apnea when each pause is having a minimum interval of 10 seconds within two breathes.

Apnea having more than five or more pauses per hour is clinically considered as significant one and this apnea is generally classified in to three categories, namely, obstructive, central and complex. Lack of respiratory effort causes the central sleep apnea and blockage in the air way causes the obstructive type and almost a combination both central and obstructive type forms the complex type. This disorder long lasts for years and the sufferer even does not aware of his illness and in many cases it is identified only by others nearer to them. In this long journey of episode the patient becomes addict to day time sleeping with much fatigue and suffers from sleep disturbance.
