After completing a degree we mostly apply for as much jobs as we can and mostly the applications are sending via online procedures and in that case a person can’t physically see us or guess our capabilities, so the only thing that can act as a true mirror of our personality is our Curriculum Vitae or simply called Resume.
The Resume is that chance in your hands that can help you in getting the desirable job for you and if you have overseen this chance then it would be your luck if you have got the job but in most cases this thing never happens. Here I am going to give you some useful tips that will help you in creating a perfect resume for you and get a fantastic career according to your desire.
- The main attraction regarding any resume is its format, and according to experts: Appearance counts as much as content so you have to select some professional format for your resume. The way you’ll present the resume and the overall lay out will actually get the attraction of employer and if that is not well shaped then mostly the employers don’t even bothers to look at the content.
- Don’t go for too much lengthy resume, just 2-3 three pages are quite enough for describing about your educations, skills and achievements. A resume should look like a resume, if you call a small booklet of 5-6 pages as your resume then it could be better called your auto-biography not resume. It’s a fact that an employer doesn’t gives more than 30 seconds to your resume so it should be so precise that all the information you want to give the employer should reach him in that time.
- So after the format and length, comes the content which you are adding. The main content of your resume should be relating to you not to your previous job, m not saying that you should not discuss your experience but the main point of focus should be your personality and your abilities not that job’s.
- Never forget to include your personal details and hobbies, you might think that what your hobbies will do for you in that job but excluding them from the CV is not the right decision. You never know in what issues the employer is checking you and he may find your hobbies attractive for his organization so always include the details of your hobbies and with that complete personal information at the end of resume.
- Talking about your previous salary or the salary you are expecting is really a childish task and this leaves a very bad impression on the employer so never about the salary stuff in your resume. The employer will definitely discuss it with you during the interview session.
