What does come to your mind when you think of Android smartphones? When I was researching for this topic, I found out that many people have no idea what basically Android is? Android is a pack of various software that run a mobile phone. This software pack includes operating system, middleware (software used to connect software components) and vital apps. Android works by using an adapted form of the operating system called Linux Kernel. This program is being used by many smartphone making companies these days including HTC, Motorola, Samsung and Sony Ericsson. Android phones are highly praised by the consumer groups, in fact the latest HTC Google Nexus One is being considered as the real iPhone killer.
