TOKYO: Toyota Motor Corp (TMC) 7203.T made a plan to install solar panels for its Next-Generation-Prius-Hybrid-Cars emerging the first leading automaker to apply solar power for a motor vehicle, according to Nikkei Business reported on Monday.
The magazine reported that Toyota would provide solar panels on the top of high end version of the Prius while it spruces up the Gasoline-Electric-Hybrid-Car early on next year and the power generated by the system which will be used for the air conditioning.
Toyota plans to make use of solar panels made by Kyocera Corp (6971.T), alleged by the Nikkei.
A Toyota spokeswoman could not instantly verify that statement.
The Prius, the world’s foremost Mass-Produced-Gasoline-Electric-Hybrid-Car went on sale in Japan in belatedly 1997 and in further markets in 2000 and its growing sales have topped 1 million units all-inclusive.
Toyota modified the Prius with an enhanced hybrid system in 2003 which is likely to launch a third generation model by next year.

The types of engine of hybrid electrical petroleum vehicles are Cadillac Escalade, AHS2, Chevrolet Tahoe, GMC Yukon, Chevrolet Silverado, Ford Escape Hybrid, Toyota Camry Hybrid, Honda Insight, Honda Civic Hybrid, Internal Cumbustion Engines, Electric Motors and Internal Batteries, etc.
