Is Affiliate Marketing Easy?
It is generally believed that affiliate marketing is a difficult task to handle from the viewpoint of a newbie. Not much information or for that matter no hard and fast steps have been set down about the art of affiliate marketing and this leaves people floundering in the dark, trying to make sense out of the boringly inane details available to the public. For one who can find the silver streak of light, there is all to gain out of it, but for all others it is an attempt in vain.
The question foremost in your mind is why less or no information is there on the net. Why are there no solid guidelines given?
This is so because the affiliate marketer is not ever going to give you his Guru-Mantra, to reach successful heights as he has. You need to think… does a football team ever release its action plans for all to learn and follow? Does a businessman ever pass on his business know-how to his competitors? We are comparatively lucky as there is quite a bit that can be done as affiliate marketers, to make money in the right manner.
There are three easy steps one can follow:
1. Build a blog for your affiliate marketing website. You just have to set it up and keep writing fresh articles which are informative, so that the readership of the blog goes up and people keep on coming back to it because it is interesting. Once you have built your readership for the blog, they will believe in all your reviews and recommendations about the products. You will not generate money with your blog, but will certainly build up readership of your posts, which in turn will help tilt the balance in your favor.
2. Creating and running an affiliate website: this is the best way to set up the business and is definitely a long term investment. Rome was not built in a day; believe this. You need to have patience and determination to build, work hard and then to strike gold. Keep your website and its product recommendations impartial and balanced. Any extra pressure to buy a product and your prospective customer turns tail and runs away… fast.
3. The third method to use is Squidoo. This is a free platform. It costs nothing. You can set up free pages as a launching pad for your business models in affiliate marketing and once you have caught the attention of the readers, you can make worthwhile suggestions which sound feasible. Try Squidoo and the Hub pages too. Go through Google search to reach them and follow instructions, use the tools provided and set up your pages in a matter of minutes. If the pages at Squidoo or Hub pages allow for links to be added, you can direct the traffic straight from there to your website.
There are Affiliate marketers using these two free options who are using them to make sales pitches and earn their riches out of them without investing any money.
