According to Wikipedia, Investment is the commitment of money or capital to purchase financial instruments or other assets in order to gain profitable returns in form of interest, income, or appreciation of the value of the instrument. Typically, an investor had to go through a long procedure for investing his amount. The procedure involved calling the brokers or going to their offices and telling them about the investment order details. Afterwards, the brokers would enter that order in their systems, and their systems were joined to the exchanges and trading floors. This is the conventional method of investment also called “Offline Investment.”

If this was offline investment, then an online substitute of the method would also be in existence; yes there certainly is an online method of investment called the Online Investment. With the development of electronic business and trading, people are opting for the easier methods that involve internet. In this investment method, the investor puts the order directly through the internet. Also, the investors have been enabled to interact with other investors and enter into a joint venture with the help of ECN; Electronic Communication Network. But in many cases, the broker keeps a close eye on the investments. Some of the online investment orders are channeled through the brokers still. This practice aids both the parties in protection against unlawful and illegitimate trade acts which can harm the investor’s money as well as reputation, and annul the broker’s license.

The offline brokers do not only give full assistance to the investing parties, but also guide them regarding the profit and loss ratio of the venture the investors are investing in. on the other hand, the online brokers (also known as discount brokers as their fees and charges are much less than the offline brokers due to the load of work on both kinds) do not take such burden non their necks.

There are things like illegal security schemes to which investors may fall victim. To avoid scams, it is important for online investors to search thoroughly about the online brokers and check if their required broker deals within the investor’s state or province. Otherwise, grave complications can evolve in the trade. For an offline investor, it is equally important to research and find out about brokers with good reputation, as hard earned money is an asset and should not be thrown into a con’s hands.

Also, the online investors are in a potential risk as they are investing without someone to assist them and give adequate advice. For this reason, they should find out those online brokers who offer such services too.

To invest safely, it is necessary for the online investors to have a thorough knowledge about the company’s business and financial statements whose stocks one wants to purchase. This practice lessens the risk of falling a victim to loss.

On whole, the online investment is a need of this fast moving era. It is necessary to adopt methods of the modern time as the quick pacing society does not wait for anyone.

Effects of globalization

This phrase has become very common now days that ‘we are living in an era of globalization’ but the point to ponder is that what actually the globalization is and how much we are getting or paying for this. This term ‘Globalization’ was once considered to be more or less an economic process but now it has got more depth as a comprehensive phenomenon that is reshaping our society. This empowering thought is nowadays implicating such a global connectivity that has made it possible to communicate within the whole world without any restriction of geographical boundaries, while this thing seems to be very fascinating similarly by going towards the other side of picture we can see that this crossing of borders is also producing many flattening effects of practice as well. Lets us consider both side of this phenomenon; the positive and the negative one and then decide which is beating the other.

Positive Effects of Globalization

The advent of globalization has brought a whole new way of communication by which the countries and their individuals can communicate with each other and solve their issues.

Considering the business point of view, globalization has carried the businesses on the global scale allowing the markets of the entire world to collaborate and bring exciting facilities for the customers that can’t be available otherwise.

The collaboration among the countries of the entire world has been made stronger with globalization, now countries can easily move to the markets at which they are better. The people of one country can do any work which they excel even if for that they have to go to some other country, kind of labour transfer which is very common now days.

The concept of outsourcing has been flourished only because of globalization, now the software related work, marketing work, accounting and other such work can be outsourced to the developing countries like India and Pakistan and thus the benefits of lower cost can be obtained because the wages in developing countries are quite less than that of developed countries.

Consumers is that group of individuals which should be called as true winner in globalization because the comparison of goods from all over the world will let them buy their desired product from that market which gives the most convenient price, the global competition among businesses will lower the price of goods thus the real winner is consumer in all cases.

Negative Effects of Globalization

Now let’s come to the other side ‘the negative one’ which is also quite drastic and brings a horrible face of globalization in front of the whole world.

The concept of outsourcing which has been discussed in the positive effects strongly needs to be considered on the negative side as well because it is leading to fewer jobs for the people of developed countries. When the companies will outsource their manufacturing and white collar jobs to the developing countries than what will be left for the people of developed countries.

Another gift of globalization is Job insecurity which is prevailing at very high rates these days, earlier people use to have stable permanent jobs but now days people have this constant fear of losing job because of the competition which has also caused reductions in wages.

Terrorism has also flourished highly because of globalization because they can get access to highly sophisticated weapons for enhancing their power and they can also use the web for communicating with each other.

The universal benefits can’t be achieved with this phenomenon because the rich are getting richer and poor are becoming poorer.

The bad affects of any foreign culture can leave drastic results on the youth of any other culture via TV and internet.

Final Words

Thomas Friedman once explained the term globalization “When we were young kids growing up in America , we were told to eat our Vegetables at dinner and not to leave them, Mothers said,’ think of the Starving children in India and finish the dinner.’ And now I tell my children: ‘Finish your math’s homework. Think of the children in India who would make you starve, if you don’t!”

Globalization is thus a procedure or phenomenon which can’t be stopped, it will remain with us throughout out life because the positive impacts are those ones that can’t be paused and for the negative scenario it would be better for the countries to solve such issues and spread peace and prosperity of the whole world otherwise these unfortunate actions will keep on spoiling nations.

Features:

It is an eye catching media player which is amazingly light weighted. The AMOLED display is awesome and renders fine quality picture. The plastic casing at sides and back makes it lightweight though, but it also feels a cheap product at times. It is almost half the weight of latest iPod Touch. Backside is dark plastic (which conceals the smudges and fingerprints quite well), whereas the whole front has been covered in a clear and quite scratch-resistant plastic. Touch sensitivity of the OLED display is nice. As we all know that OLED consumes less power as well as there is no need for a backlight; thus the Cowon S9 is very lightweight and thin, too.

One of the finest features is its user interface. Lay out of menu is nice, and items are nicely spaced. Also, the touch interface is quite responsive to touches. Other main features include Bluetooth audio, an FM radio with recording, voice recording, a text reader, and a Flash media player for gaming. A wide range of video and audio formats are supported. Sound quality is splendid and can be matched with certain high end media players.

Pros:

Excellent sound/video quality

OLED screen

Thin and lightweight

Responsive touch screen

Bright screen

Recording facility

Cons:

No multi-touch support

Cheap feel because of plastic material

Non-standard 20-pin USB connector

No H.264 support

Final words:

This is fine media player that competes well with the high end media players like iPod Touch. It is not going to disappoint the users as we hope.

Every affiliate marketer is offered a commission for each sale made by him. However, the commission offered varies with the product or program that one is promoting. It is only natural on part of the affiliate marketer to look to enhance this income. For this one needs to consider certain things before committing to promote a particular product.

One of the first things which one needs to be aware of is that the commissions vary from product to product. The obvious strategy, then, is to choose only those affiliate programs which offer the best commission structure. One should remember that affiliate marketing is like a proper job, the only difference being that it is an online job. Just as before starting a new job one should find out about its financial benefits, similarly before committing to a particular product the affiliate marketer should be clear about the commission structure offered for it.

Also, one should choose those programs which offer products with a large market. Common sense dictates that such products would be easier to sell because the demand for them would be insatiable. This would also result in a high number of sales leading to an increase in the amount of commission as this income is directly dependent on the number of sales made. In addition to this, it is advisable to choose a program which has an unblemished reputation for paying the commissions on time. In case, this is not so one should not hesitate to move on to a better program.

One should enhance one’s bargaining power by becoming an invaluable affiliate. The product owner will definitely show more willingness to increase the commission of such an affiliate because of the business he brings in. To become a good affiliate one should know how to attract potential buyers. The first step towards this is to develop a good website which should give authentic information about the product. The indispensability of the product should be highlighted on this website. Product-reviews and product-recommendations should be added to the website. Along with this, it should have the facility to register for free e-reports and e-books. However, one should keep in mind that this is something which will be done by other affiliate marketers also. Hence, one has to ensure that one’s free report is better than that of the others’ and offers extra information. The e-mail addresses of all those who download e-books should be collected and additional information about the product should be sent to them from time to time to increase the chances of a purchase. These e-mail addresses can be of help to the affiliate even when he markets new products. All this would help the affiliate make good sales and the product owner would, then, not mind raising his commission.

To conclude, one can increase one’s profits manifolds by following the guidelines mentioned above and can take full advantage of the growing trend of establishing a business online.
